Canon EOS 7D is an 18 megapixels DSLR camera featuring a new APS-C CMOS sensor, which is also designed and manufactured by Canon. This new camera’s sensor offers a wide ISO range of 100-12,800 with a revised photodiode and microlens construction. It also offers dual DIGIC 4 processors that allow continuous shooting at 8fps and an improved 19-point cross-type auto-focus system. - Best color modes under-saturated, with sharpness turned down
- Noisier than others at high ISO settings
- Chromatic aberration noticeable at image edges
- Custom white balance produced disappointing results
- Lacks in-camera editing capabilities
- Slow Live View autofocus; no scene modes
- Multi-controller joystick feels imprecise
- Color accuracy wasn’t quite as good as the competition.
- Sharpness was a bit lower than other DSLRs that shoot 1080p video.
- No live autofocus; stationary LCD makes shooting hand-held video difficult.
